Rising H.E.R.™ – Frequently Asked Questions

Rising H.E.R.™ is a 6-week leadership and identity development experience designed for girls ages 14–17. The program helps participants strengthen their voice, build confidence, practice self-advocacy, and explore future direction in a supportive community.

What will participants gain?

Participants will:

Build leadership identity
Strengthen communication skills
Practice setting boundaries
Develop self-advocacy tools
Explore personal vision and direction
Gain confidence in who they are becoming

Is this a therapy program?

No. Rising H.E.R.™ is a leadership and identity development program. While emotional growth is part of development, the program does not provide therapy or clinical services.

What materials are required?

Participants receive:

The Rising H.E.R.™ Companion Workbook (digital)
Guided reflection pages
Leadership affirmation tools
Completion certificate

No books or outside purchases are required.

Is there homework?

There are light reflection activities between sessions. These typically take 15–30 minutes and are designed to reinforce leadership growth, not overwhelm participants.

What if my child is shy?

Rising H.E.R.™ is designed to honor different personality styles. Participation is encouraged but never forced. Growth happens through both speaking and listening.

Is this program academic?

No. Rising H.E.R.™ is not graded and does not include tests. It focuses on personal leadership development, communication, and confidence-building.

Is this program faith-based?

No. Rising H.E.R.™ is values-centered but not affiliated with any religious tradition.

How are participants supported?

Sessions are structured to prioritize:

Will there be a certificate?

Yes. Participants who complete the 6-week experience will receive a Rising H.E.R.™ Certificate of Completion.
